If you fiddle...Beware!!!!

Updates seem far and inbetween these days, but that is the life of camp. Camp is nearing it's end and it is hard to believe. This summer has been good and challenging. I am learning a lot and trying to re-evaluate a handful things in life. It's been good but difficult...but God is certainly at work, I am thankful for that.
We are in the middle of All Boys week, and I am on work crew, which is a nice change from counseling. Then next week, our last week of camp, is All Girls Junior week. I pray for strength and perseverance...it has been a long summer and we are all tired...but I pray that we will make the most of the opportunities we have and give those campers the greatest week of camp. But we cannot do that without relying on the strength of Christ. So please pray!!!
After camp I am hoping to hang around for a week or so to rest and hang out with people...then head back to Portland where I will begin working full time at the community center. It will be a change and I pray I will rely on the promises of God through this change. I know this is a vague update but I am not sure what to write...I am still processing things and trying to figure out what has been going on this summer. There are a lot of things that I need to sit down and sort through in my head and in my heart. But I will leave you with a funny story and this story is very much true in all it's happenings. Be prepared to laugh and shake your head at the Sheri-ness of this story...

So, this morning started like any other morning. Breakfast was delicious, we had english mcMuffin type sandwiches...mmm good. I served food to the campers, then proceeded to eat breakfast myself. Afterwards it was time to clean the dining hall and get ready for lunch. I was standing near the fridge waiting for a bucket I could use to wash the tables and chairs. There was a handful of us workers standing there chatting a bit. Playing with my hands while I talk is not uncommon and neither is fiddling with something nearby. I eventually noticed I was fiddling with the handle of the fridge and I had placed my hand all the way through the handle. But little did I know that I wouldn't be able to get it back out--My hand was stuck in the handle. Everyone began to laugh as several tried to pull it out, when they couldn't we laughed even harder. We tried rubbing soap on my hand, but still I was stuck. The cook finally came over and also began to crack up with laughter. She went into the kitchen, still laughing, and came back out with a can of "Pam" cooking oil, which she sprayed and I was able to twist and slide my hand out of the handle. It was hilarious and I became the story of the day... But now my hand is free and I will no longer fiddle with fridge handles... And you shouldn't either...but if you do...remember "Pam".
